Leeds - Culture and What to Do
Officially the largest financial centre outside London, Leeds was one of the major industrial towns in the North of England. However, in the beginning of the twentieth century, the area shifted its focus from industrialisation to academia. The University of Leeds has become a world-recognised university.
Leeds has a much regenerated city centre, with something for all tastes and requirements. A very good market and shopping centre makes it ideal for browsing and picking up bargains, whilst it's theatres and museums cater for those looking for a more cultural experience.
